A major teaching affiliate of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Women & Infants Hospital laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of pathologists, clinical laboratory specialists, clinical laboratory technicians, phlebotomists and support personnel who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Division of Gynecologic and Breast Pathology provides diagnostic services by board-certified anatomic pathologists on outpatient biopsies specimens and surgical specimens.
