While getting your pap smear and mammograms every year are critical to your well-being, it’s important to monitor your overall health as well with a primary care physician.
At the Center for Primary Care, our focus is not only on the specific health and wellness needs of our adult patients but on each patient’s individual concerns, comfort, well-being, and convenience. We strive to improve health and well-being through education about preventive care, building awareness of major health issues, and promoting behavioral changes.

No Show Policy
We have a policy for missed appointments at all Women and Infants Hospital's physician practices. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice.
Please be advised that this location is a provider-based clinic and both a physician and facility fee will be assessed, which may result in a higher out-of-pocket expense.
At this time and for everyone’s safety, only individuals essential to the medical care of our patients (e.g. genetic counseling, pediatric gynecology visits, care coordination discussions, patient mobility and/or translation services, foster parent) will be allowed to accompany them into the ambulatory/outpatient settings.
In very limited circumstances, exceptions may be made to this visiting policy only at the discretion of the office-based medical and/or nursing leadership. Thank you for understanding and for joining us in making our patients health everyone’s top priority.
Many of us have not had our yearly checkups, but that hasn't changed the importance of seeing a doctor.
Our physicians are all board certified in internal medicine and have helped set standards for care worldwide. We treat adult patients with both acute and chronic conditions. Patients without a primary care provider can schedule an appointment to see a physician who will coordinate all of their health care needs.
Natalia Belosloudtseva, MD, PhD, is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Douglas Blecker, MD, is a clinical instructor in the Department of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed a residency through the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
A native Rhode Islander, Kayla Capizzano Cross has been working as a primary care provider since 2012 and is a graduate of Providence College and the Master’s Entry Nursing Program at Regis College, where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society Pi Epsilon Chapter.

Laura Ofstead, MD, is the medical director of the Center for Primary Care and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Jessica Pineda, MD, sees patients at both the Center for Primary Care and the Center for Women’s Behavioral Health. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed residency in psychiatry and family medicine at the University of Cincinnati.
